Wangs – Brooklyn

I love Wangs… Get your mind out of the gutter! Wangs is a fried chicken spot located in Brooklyn. There’s no indoor seating so you either get your Wangs to go or you eat them on a picnic bench surrounded by yellow jackets. Before you say hell no, this is so not worth the energy of fighting off stinging insects, I’m gonna tell you it is.

How can you go wrong with Asian flavors meet southern soul food? Wangs uses organic chicken from Paisano’s on Smith Street and they are committed to keeping everything environment-friendly! Yay for not destroying our planet!

So good and refreshing, with the perfect amount of kick from the ginger!

Fried chicken sandwich – served Vietnamese style with pâté, cilantro lime aioli, jalepeños, cucumber, pickled carrot and daikon, Runner & Stone semolina sesame baguette.

I loved this. I’m a big Bahmi fan and this was like the mothership.

I don’t know if I’ll be making a special trip out to Wangs since I live over an hour away via subway… However, if I find myself in this hood again I will be ordering 20 Wang Wings to go and freezing them to last me till I can get there again.
